Our son feels better understood and happier…

“We just wanted to say thank you once again for your work with our son.  He has always been a fun, wonderful guy, but I think he feels better understood and happier than I remember in a really long time. He absolutely loves you and really feels empowered to have you “on his team.”  We leave your office so positive and strengthened with all the strategies you give him.”

It was great to be so welcomed into the sessions…

As a support worker accompanying my client it was great to be so welcomed into the sessions, work alongside the PT, and gain more information and strategies to support the clients progress. Thanks a lot!

Compassion, caring and excellent knowledge…

“Our family has had the opportunity to work with both OT and PT over the last 6 years for sensory integration issues, core muscle recruitment and eye movement therapy.  We have seen significant improvements in all the areas they have worked on.  All therapists have shown compassion, caring and excellent knowledge in their areas of expertise.  Their commitment to their clients shows through in the big smiles and excited descriptions of the sessions once they are complete.

I’ve really enjoyed the new therapy centre. It’s very convenient to go to a single, well equipped spot to be able to work with various disciplines and therapists.  PT and SLP have also been helpful with bike riding skills and social groups.

I feel Movin’ Mountains Therapy Centre is a much needed and very welcomed addition to our community.  I wish them many, many years of continued success stories.”

We LOVE our MM family!

We LOVE our Moving Mountains family and feel we have found the exact right fit for our family!

My daughter cheers when it is time to go to physio…

“We started to see a Movin’ Mountains physio when my daughter was 2 weeks old, due to a birth injury. Our PT was knowledgeable, kind, professional and very good with such a young client. She was able to put me at ease as it was evident that she really knew what she was doing. I give credit to her for where my daughter is at in her recovery. The doctors in Trail did not think that her injury was very severe but she did and was very persistent with them until they finally agreed to send us to Children’s Hospital, where it was determined that she would need botox, splinting, and a body cast.

Our PT was there every step of the way. She has remained in contact with the team at BC Children’s Hospital to ensure that what we are doing is in line with their recommendations. She has helped us to problem solve and was especially kind and helpful during the times when I was overwhelmed with the things that I was supposed to be doing at home in terms of exercises and care.

When Movin’ Mountains opened their doors I was so happy. Now my daughter is able to get physio more often and has also benefited from seeing not only PT, but also OT, as well. All of the ladies that we have encountered have been so kind, professional and amazing at their jobs. They are able to work with the kids in such a way that much is accomplished, while the kids think they are playing. My daughter cheers when it is time to go to physio. It is never a fight. I could not recommend Movin’ Mountains and the team there more. They are amazing people who love their clients and go out of their way to do what is best for them. They also support us parents and help us as we deal with our own concerns and stresses over our kids.”

MM is one of the greatest resources around!

Movin’ Mountains is one of the greatest resources around, the 1 on 1 is great! Thank you to each and everyone of you.

Movin’ Mountains is an amazing asset in our community…

Movin’ Mountains is a amazing asset in our community. I spent years doing research and looking for resources when my son was young and to find such a special collaboration of professionals in one space, where my child feels special and comfortable is fantastic!

Before starting therapy our son had difficulty expressing his emotions…

“When our son was first diagnosed with Autism and ADHD we were unsure what resources were available in our community. It was important to us that he be introduced to therapy as soon as possible. We also wanted to get education and support for ourselves. We heard about MM from a couple families in the community. What stood out most for us was how many of them mentioned how great the staff were with parents but especially how wonderful they were with the kids in their care.

Before starting therapy, our son had difficulty expressing his emotions, he had frequent hands on with us and his younger brother at home. He had difficulty interacting with peers at school and had frequent hands on with them. He required many breaks from group activities at family get-togethers, and had frequent meltdowns.

Our son has been receiving therapy at MM for almost a year and for us it’s been a year of big achievements. He can tell us what emotion he is having, and what zone he is in. He can tell us what he needs to do either independently or with help from us. He is using sensory tools we have learned from the staff at MM  to help calm him down if he is overstimulated. He is also learning to be more independent with dressing and using the washroom with the help of visual tools. He can tolerate group activities for an extended period of time and recently was able to spend a full five hours in the summer parks program. We did not think this would even be possible last year!

The staff at MM are extremely knowledgeable, warm and inviting. They have provided us with so many unique strategies to use at home. Our family has been supported through every stage of our journey. We recommend their services to families with similar needs.”

Celebrating small victories has given us inspiration…

“My family has benefited so greatly from the services provided by the therapists at Movin’ Mountains. Both our OT and PT have been exceptional with providing attainable goals for my child, and helping to set goals to strive towards. Celebrating small victories has given us the inspiration that anything and I mean anything is possible! From the play area to the bins of sensory toys, everyone who needs support should check out the services offered by MM!

Two amazing women turned their vision into a reality and created a centre where people can come to get support with so many different things. Thanks for turning your vision into a reality we all get to be a part of! I would recommend MM to help you and your child move mountains.”

I feel I can come early and stay late…

Your front desk receptionist is such a critical part of the team. To answer questions. Clarify funding etc. It is a nice lobby, I feel I can come early and stay late. I also really like the bathroom, and I appreciate the potty chair. Thank goodness you exist for our kids!!!
