SibShops Happening This November
Youth Behavioural Adaptation Services Presents: A program that uses play and peer mentoring to teach siblings about not being alone, giving them a safe space to be themselves and educating them about difference.
Sibshops focus on the siblings who will share the longest-lasting relationship with a person who has a disability (difference). Sibshops provides activities based on specific exercises to build an understanding of difference. Siblings will meet other siblings to have fun, laugh, and talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sibling with difference. This play based group has fun games where siblings learn something about the extra
supports their brother and/or sister receives, and the type of difference their sibling has while having fun building group support.
The first session is three hours, lunch and snack will be provided.
