Changes at MM & Summer Groups!
Summer is in full swing and we are so excited with everything that has been happening at our clinic! From new therapists who have joined us, to exciting workshops, to an expansion of adult services.
We are excited to welcome Jayne Gracey, PT, who is offering services for both children and adults. Most recently, we have begun accepting clients through ICBC (and WorksafeBC very soon!) for related injuries. Jayne comes to us with a wealth of experience working with both young and not-so-youg clients from Canada and as far away as the UK and Ireland! Read more about Jayne here!
Also on board with us now is Kaylene French, our newest SLP. Kaylene comes to us from Alberta, but has spent the last decade travelling all over Canada and abroad. She brings experience from a variety of settings and loves working with children of all ages. Read more about Kaylene here!
Last but not least, we have Kaitlyn Hartmann, our newest OT. Kaitlyn joins us from Northern BC, and has experience working in rural areas with people of all ages with an array of conditions requiring Occupational Therapy. Read more about Kaitlyn here!
Adults Services
While we absolutely love seeing kiddos come in for various sessions, we also want to give adults the attention they need, too! We are now accepting adult clients for both PT and OT, and are registered for ICBC (and WorkSafeBC is coming soon!) for our clients with related injuries. In your initial assessment, we will work with you to build a treatment plan that fits your needs so that together, we can help you reach your goals. You can find more information on our adult services by clicking here.
Summer Workshops
This summer we have had a few different workshops for kids:
- A social group for ages 8-10 for 4 sessions throughout July to encourage social, reciprocal, and communicative skills
- A teen/tween social group for 2 sessions in July to learn how to interact in public environments, build new friendships, etc.
- A Collaborating with Confidence 2-day workshop for younger teens to use math and science to make predictions and conclusions – Bungee Jumping Barbie!
Bungee Jumping Barbie!
Do you have an idea for a workshop or group that you’d like to see and participate in with us? Let us know! Leave a comment or send an email with your ideas!
We hope you are enjoying your summer as much as we are enjoying ours!
