Hi! My name is Sara and I am a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist. I am privileged to work, live, and play on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the sngaytskstx (Sinixt) People.

I was born and raised on the east coast of Canada, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honours) at the University of New Brunswick in 2020 and my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Dalhousie University in 2023. Since graduating, I have been lucky to call British Columbia home and have worked to support both preschool and school age children in the Kelowna area as they navigate a range of communication goals. I am passionate about collaborating with families to focus on what matters most to them and prioritize practical strategies that help children communicate with confidence and connection. I am thrilled to continue this work with the Movin’ Mountains team.

I believe in lifelong learning and continue to grow my skills so I can offer the best possible support to the families I work with. I have completed additional training in the areas of early language development, literacy, motor speech and gestalt language learning. This has included Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words programs, theTeaching Children to Read course through Kwantlen Polytechnic University, the Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme, and the Meaningful Speech Course. My goal is to create therapy experiences that feel positive and empowering for both children and their caregivers.

When I am not in the clinic, you will likely find me running, exploring new trails and beaches, trying new recipes, or spending time outdoors with my dog, Tetley. I look forward to meeting you and learning how I can support your child’s unique communication journey.
