Meet The MM Team

Hi! My name Sarah and I am an occupational therapist on the Movin’ Mountains team. I was born in Canada, raised in Australia and returned to Canada in 2017 which has become home again. I am am privileged to work, live, and play on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the sngaytskstx (Sinixt) People.

I received my Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia in 2011. I then completed a PhD at the University of Queensland in 2014, exploring on an online therapy program for children with cerebral palsy. I began working clinically in pediatrics during this time in the pediatric field and have not looked back.

I have over ten years of experience working in various pediatric areas at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane (2014-2017) and BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver (2017-2025). I have a particular interest in rehabilitation, having worked extensively with kids and youth with brain injury, cerebral palsy and rheumatic conditions. I am passionate about providing therapy that is child and family centred, evidence-based and fun!

Outside of work, I love to spend time trail running, skiing and travelling with my husband and our beloved golden retriever.
