Her love for the outdoors and recreation has brought about a passion for treating sports related injuries, whether they are chronic or recent. Alison uses knowledge and training of anatomical acupuncture to focus on treating imbalances in the body due to overstrain, sprain, breaks and general pain.
She understands the importance of maintaining optimal health and wellness of the body, in order to continue pursuing a life filled with one’s favorite activities and adventure.
Alison also has an interest in digestive health and dietary counseling, gynecological/hormonal issues, and the treatment of fertility with TCM. Alison believes in the healing power of “food as medicine”, and will often work with “Yang Sheng Fa”, a traditional technique of using lifestyle and food recommendations to support the patients healing. During a session with Alison, she will guide you through a history of your own personal health and constitution, where she will discover patterns from a Chinese medicine based diagnosis which may be causing imbalance in the body. From here Alison will develop a treatment that is tailored to your own unique needs, utilizing acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, herbalism, tui-na massage, or any other TCM techniques that are indicated for your healing journey.
